Dr. Atallah is considered one of the few international experts for the training of TAMIS and taTME, and has trained over 200 surgeons on these techniques in the past 5 years.
Dr. Atallah is also actively involves in education of health care providers at all levels and trains medical students, residents, PA students, nurses, and international fellows and surgeon delegates on an ongoing basis. He also believes strongly in educating the public — especially about the important of screening for colon cancer.
With his expanding role with HCA and Oviedo Medical Center, and as part as the consortium with UCF College of Medicine, Dr. Atallah plans to increase his role in education and establish a new, international colorectal surgery fellowship program in 2018.
